“Eddie and Mad Dog will no doubt be studying videos of recent PSV Champions League and Eredivisie performances, in order to formulate a tactical plan and to select the best starting eleven, before naming the same side as in the previous match, lined up in a 4-3-3 formation.”
Yousef, it would be funny if it wasn't true. Odds-on it'll be Pope, Tripps, Malik, Sven, Lew, Bruno, Big Joe, Sandro, Harvey, the newly streamlined 'Flash', and WolteWow.
Sergiño Dest is a doubt after picking up a minor knock. If he is not available, he will likely be replaced by Kiliann Sildillia.
At the weekend, Bosz started with Esmir Bajraktarevic as the centre forward, but then later moved Til up from his normal midfield berth. Unusual, but yeah, it was only Fortuna Sittard. PSV did the business in what was practically a kick-around, and extended their lead in the Eredivise to 16 points. Scarey!
There are rumours that the club have ordered a direct flight from Morocco to Newcastle for the two AFCON heroes. If Saibari in particular starts, we gonna have a tough time keeping PSV out.
Thanks for a brilliant write up. Content like this is why TF is the best place, not just for NUFC but insight into opponents.Plus the odd book recommendation and football history. Bravo
This made me laugh, Mik…
