I remember McKeag on TV with the model of a proposed stadium. No roof in sight! He wouldn't accept that this was not a good idea in north east England

Great piece, Scott. I’ve lived long enough to observe most of the shenanigans between greedy councillors and previous dodgy owners of our club. Take T. Dan Smith, Lord Westwood and William McKeag… no one will convince me that anything good could have happened under those three - well, aside from us winning the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup under Chairman Lord Westwood. Westwood wore a patch after losing an eye in a car crash, but was that the only reason his nickname was the pirate? Hmm, I’m not so sure.
