Perhaps instead of wasting energy chasing forwards who my gran could tell you we were never going to sign, we should have been looking for some pace in the centre of our defence. Any pace. From anywhere. No PL experience? No, problem "Can you fucking run?", should be all we need to ask at this point.

Well said Scott. Half paced and half arsed. The fire alarm was a complete ball ache but my ire is reserved for the flag shagging arseholes who think our great club have some allegiance with the team from Govan. There were a minority of arseholes in Glasgow yesterday and they weren't wearing green and white hoops.

The Union flags on display were distasteful but what really depressed and annoyed me was the 'fuck the mackems/ Pope and the IRA' part of the we hate Sunderland song.

It only fuckin happens when we play a Catholic team in Scotland (Hibs and Celtic)

half the arseholes singing the song are probably the twats that don't think we should be taking the knee and we should be keeping politics out of football.

Sectarianism is still a huge problem in Scotland at football, there's zero need to add to the fucker.

Imagine having to explain that song to a workmate and her 2 kids (all Celtic supporters and at the game) after they asked me what that was all about FFS

The butcher's apron is to be expected. The link up with far right scum at the Bristol Bar is more worrying. One columnist on the Mag page thought is was a wonderful experience…

I did see that and I was also invited there for a pre match beer with a mate from home. I was going to the Sports Bar at the ground to meet said workmate, her husband and her kids, so I declined. he didn't go there either, it has to be said.

I don't have the best of relationships with 'Scotland's shame' ie the Old Firm, (especially the 'Bears' and their special relationship with the scumbags in blue from the Fulham Road), they're the reason why you can't have a pint in any ground before or during a game in Scotland, they have the buying power to hoover up any talent that comes through at other clubs (something we are starting to see in England by a select few teams, of which we have experience of in the last year or two) because of their popularity, either through glory hunting or religion.

I didn't get into the Sports Bar either, jobsworth said no away fans, despite workmate telling me there were loads of Newcastle in there while they were in.

Its a completely different experience doing the match 'dry'

The train from Argyle Street had a few heading to the Bristol Bar. Despicable behaviour and obviously on the Columbian marching powder.

Not so much an allegiance to the team from Govan as a hatred for the most loathsome fans in football who are fined repeatedly for their behaviour and have openly supported proscribed terrorist groups. Their behaviour at the Beardsley /Shearer testimonials lives long in the memory with them smashing doors in with herras fencing, being drunk in the City centre at 7am on the morning of the match and booing an injured Shearer.

I spent all of Saturday in the company of Celtic fans. They were great hosts.

So your report was bias as its clear to see where your allegiance already lay. I repeat they are the club fined the most in British football for the behaviour of their 'fans'. They caused a murder enquiry in Walker to be 'abandoned' so that the Police could bring the detectives into the City due to disgusting behaviour of their fans at the testimonials. They are yearly the only club who do not pay respect to the war dead. They have openly supported proscribed terrorists. The most loathsome fans in football.

80,000 Celtic fans travelled to Seville for the 2004 UEFA Cup Final. Not one arrest. Scotland's shame wrecked Manchester in 2008. Displayed the swastika at a European away game and just this Saturday, flew the Israeli flag from this Bristol Bar. Just to note, no sectarian singing from the Celtic fans on Saturday.

Lets look at more recently, 19 arrests after winning league, 4 Police injured. Fined 17k for offensive displays by Uefa. 8k fine for blocking all passageways. 3.5k fine for pyrotechnics. 24k fine again for pyrotechnics. 20k fine for offensive banners (again). I could go on and on. And what have Rangers got to do with anything, other than your clear bias? We are talking about the most fined club in Britain for their verminous fans. Ooh an Israeli flag ! Ever looked at a Celtic game and seen the flag of HAMAS?

I think you might be getting that mixed up with the Palestinian flag, which is nothing to do with Hamas.

You missed out the confronting people in alley's - Pudding Chare for one - with 3 hole balaclava's on. I'm not just talking two or three of them, saying eight - ten with a sprinkling brave enough not to wear them.

And i'm talking about them looking to challenge ONE bloke, it certainly lives in my memory !!

From personal experience in my own City and up there you are quite correct , loathsome horrible lot amongst their huge support.

The general atmosphere was great yesterday, spoilt by a minority of our lot singing stupid songs about issues they know nowt and care less about. Well done lads, enemies made, tea on the table when you get home, tell your mams. It was supposed to be a friendly. Some of these (a minority or a moronity) pricks don’t know the meaning of the word.

On the plus side most of us had a great time despite the result, and the Glaswegians were great hosts. So I hope as visitors we didn’t embarrass waselves too much:) I loved the place, first time visitor. The Jocks and the Geordies. We’re not really English either yas kna!

We’re not a one-man team by any means, but the mood-music around Isak is starting to get worrying, I know I’m not alone in that. Even if Liv do sign Hugo, Isak’s holding-out is a bit telling, like he would have gone if the right offer came in. Hopefully he’s a happy player for next season.

More than the singing which was a very vocal minority starting but boosted by people around mindlessly joining in rather than challenging it. However I saw a young lad beaten and punched by a bunch of grown men as I walked round to the away turnstiles in what can only be described as a politically motivated attack on Celtic fans judging by what was being shouted. Celtic fans had been nothing but welcoming all afternoon and I can only presume these morons wouldn't stop for one minute plenty of Newcastle fans are fom Irish Catholics backgrounds.

The train back to Edinburgh was a fuckin disgrace, standing room only, vaping all over, even saw a bloke have the temerity to take a toot of coke in full view of everyone, last time I saw that, it was at least in the toilet at Ibrox.

Never been so glad to get off the train at Haymarket for the bus home to the relative paradise that is Granton (if you know, you know) compared to that train, so glad I didn't have to continue on down to Newcastle

I've done my time doing away games, between 1997 and 2008 when I still lived at home in the North East, I suppose we were sheltered from it because we had a bloke who had a minibus who was only too happy to take £20 each off us to take us wherever we wanted to go, so we never saw what went on on the trains etc, but it did, at that time just seem like we went for a drink and the game, then went home, the stimulation from both was enough for us all I guess

Like most fan bases, half the shit that goes on never gets reported. And some shit goes on with your new mates Celtic.

You'd have had your eyes opened back then if there was such a thing as a camera phone.

It's a pre-season friendly, a warm-up and an opportunity to give players a run-out. They aren't always a good indicator of what to expect in the season ahead. However, coming after our best season for decades the burden of expectation was great and one that proved to be a bit too heavy for the team to carry. To have 10,000 supporters travelling to an away fixture is remarkable but that's what success means now that we've assumed our place among the elite. Judging from the remarks about the unwelcome, rowdy element it's a good job that the allocation of tickets for away fixtures is more strictly controlled when the season begins. We've also got to become accustomed to vast amounts of speculation and rumour surrounding some of our players now that we're acquiring those such as Isak who are of the calibre that other big clubs actually want. It's not so long ago that Bruno was the object of attention but that's died down since Isak arrived to attract the spotlight. They say it's tough at the top and we're beginning to discover that, but I'd rather be where we are, inside the tent and pissing out.

Just spot on Scott. Hard to read too much into it but it was embarrassing. Not as embarrassing as the transfer fiasco though. I've just checked and the good news is that the transfer window doesn't end until 1st September. Good news hopefully. The bedwetters are ruining my social media experience.
