It's not really our "game in hand" though. That's April 16th when we play Palace as everyone else plays on this midweek set of games. That game is the only one happening that mid week.

Hopefully they will have their eyes on Wembley at that point.....

Wednesday will be a statement game alright. Play it right and win and then the 10 cup finals mantra you normally hear from teams at the bottom fighting relegation, but it needs to be translated into action. There's now no thinking of CL games or other cup finals to distract everyone so no excuses.

Brentford are a tough team and we've been undone at SJP by lesser teams already. Win the next 2 and we're all set for a fabulous finish. I'd take a nervy 1-0 right now.

This will be a tough test, but an early b/w goal would settle everything. I've not hid my admiration for Thomas Frank and Brentford's style, nor for their front two, especially Wissa, I would like at least one of them here at SJP in b/w next season (or, if Isak is offed, both of them). They now know the league and look hungry for success. Let's relish the challenge - NUFC have proven they are 'winners' now.

Good summary of the present situation, Mick. It’s essential that the crowd plays its part in firing up the players because occasionally both go missing against the so-called lesser teams.

So if we treat every remaining game like the Carabao Cup final, surely we must have a great chance of qualifying for next year’s Champions League. Here’s hoping…

Spot on Mick, no slacking off until the final whistle of the final game.

I live in Spain and we've got to get a Spanish team this time, surely.

I loved Bruno’s antics on the mic! It’s not meant as any offence, it’s just a funny song. The funniest way of listening to it is Pridey’s clear panicked enjoyment of it and live cut-off! Pure Simpsons. If anyone wants to listen it’s 38 mins in on the Radio Newcastle special from Saturday on BBC Sounds. As a lover of live radio, that was pure gold! No surprise from that great show.

Let’s focus on tomorrow! I know I can’t,but I’m not a professional footballer and they have to. Howay the Heroes!

I love this team, every one of them, on a personal level. I don’t just love them, I’m in love with them. Thank God Eddie’s able to settle them down a bit, coz I’m an emotional wreck!

Hopefully finally winning a trophy will enable us to play with less weight on our shoulders and steam through our remaining fixtures winning all of them.
