“They really were that bad. We were okay.

Murphy - he’s shite, but at least he’s got a bit of directness about him.

Wilson lumbered. Longstaff laboured. Willock flickered.

Pope can’t kick. Tino can’t defend. Tripps still can. Bruno is at his best when he keeps it simple. Isak sometimes drifts in and out of games. Murphy infuriates.

We picked up no new injuries, no new suspensions, and we now go into Sunday on a high.

Believe.”

Excellent summary Yousef.

Especially the “BELIEVE”.

Yep, that’s the para I picked out as well! You could have added “thank God for Tonali..with Tripps and Bruno on their game they’re the key”

As for Tino, I’m sure he switches his boots over when he switches wings - he just can not play over there!

Apart from that, we can thank the Hammers, for being focussed on packing their own box rather than ours!

Yeah, personally don't understand not switching Trips and Tino.

Great stuff. 3 points and no (🤞) injuries is a fantastic outcome.

Can’t wait for Sunday. I’m like a teenage lad going on a date with a lass who’s far too good for me; I know it’ll end in tears. But maybe, just maybe there’s a happy ending.

In it to win it, as they say.

Pretty accurate assessment. The problem is - which everyone with eyes knows - is that if Murphy & Livramento play like that in the cup final, we’ll be 4 down in 20 minutes. We gave Liverpool possession for their two goals at Anfield & they weren’t even really trying! The only vague chance we’ve got - which everyone with eyes knows - is for us to play at our absolute best, with no stupid, basic mistakes & for Liverpool to have an off day. And for our keeper, whoever it may be, to have the game of his life. And for us to have a lot of luck. 1 in 10 chance but there is still a chance! Just..

We are just so unbearably sloppy at the moment.

Agreed! I was saying to my missus last night that I’ve watched many, many inferior sides of ours in the past but this current team cause me more frustration than any I can remember because they’re so careless & slack at times! We’ve really got to tighten up to have a chance on Sunday. Hopefully, we can do it!

A trudge of a match, and yet a massive three points, as, without them, Europe would look very far away. Good to get a laboured, if not hard-fought, win before a trip under the arch. Thank you for the report. We travel in hope!
